WooHoo I am now in the Waiting State

Took my Class the last 2 days. Only missed 5 questions, aced the shooting, got my Photos taken, fingerprints done today, everything checks out. It is going in the mail in 1hr.

Couple of things I have a concern with:

I've seen on here where some of you say the Applicant has to sign Photos. I don't think I saw that mentioned ANYWHERE on my documentation but I went ahead and signed them anyway.

Second thing:

According to the place holder, it says only have the fingerprinter sign ONE of the pics. My guy did BOTH just to avoid hassle.

Should I be worried? Right now as it stands my 2 photo's are BOTH SIGNED by the FINGER PRINTER and ME

na you shouldn't be worried. In fact it would probably help having both signed. If someone were to drop some packets and scatter the information it would be easy to identify which are yours.
Hope you have a very speedy process.

My finger printer also signed both of my pics. I signed both of my pics, right by the finger printer's signature.

Make sure to check out everything again, then let someone else check it. When you mail it, make sure it goes Certified Mail, Return Receipt. THis is assuming you have not already mailed the package. You should expect a PIN in the mail from anywhere around 15 days to 30 days. You can then use the PIN to login and check the application status. Patience is the key to waiting. The clock slows to stop nearly. I am on day 51 since the DPS/CHL received my package according to the return receipt they signed. I am getting anxious to get mine completed since many others that sent packets in after mine have already been approved.

Welcome to the Waiting Room! :grouphug

Signing the photo

They only returned one photo to be signed. I don't think it would hurt to sign both.

Sign both photos, have the fingerprinter sign both. What can it hurt?

Application number needs to be on EVERY document.

Send it in, pull up a chair in the waiting room. :sleep

No excuse

The bottom line is that this function needs to be privatized. There is no excuse to take 2-3 months to process something this simple. This is why similar functions have been taken over by private companies.

I see room for process streamlining and the removal of duplicate information on documents, etc. A bureau's strategy is to create a perpetual bureaucracy. But I admit there are a lot of variables in these
applications though. That means the process must be flexible enough to
process a myriad of variables.

Some people are getting good service, some are not.

This is a great idea. Wish I would have done that.

Ruben,
Where did you take your course? I received my PIN number today. I been busy moving into a new house so the time is flying by. Hopefully, I can get mine as an early birthday present(9/18)!

I did my qualification there as well. My instructor was Juan Garcia. There were 9 of us that day and it was a pretty tight fit at the range since there were also some other shooters.
