Want to make sure I am actually in the waiting room?

#1

Post by Swissy »

-Completed my CHL Training 10/24
-Submitted my application to the sate 11/6/15 (I had to wait for my Texas Drivers License to arrive to gain the audit #)
-Got my fingerprints done last night at Identogo in Conroe 11/12/15
-Attached and submitted my training certificate online 11/12/15

Is there anything else I need to do? I have not received any emails yet from the state.

I just received an email from RSD this morning confirming receipt of my documents - I just want to double check, have I missed anything?

The girl at the fingerprint place told me that I do not have to submit anything, that they are automatically sent to the state. True?

Electronic fingerprints are submitted to dps. As long as you have emailed CHL100 and received confirmation email, you just sit back and wait. The wait sucks though

Woo Hoo! At least I am in the waiting room then, thanks!

I wish my stupid drivers license didnt take so long so I could have actually done all of this closer to when I took the course.

I've heard if you live in a highly populated area, the background check takes longer. I'm not sure if it's true, but at least your in Conroe. Your county isn't as populated as mine. I live in Harris county, so it will probably take me forever to get mine!

I am in Harris county too unfortunately (and I just moved from out of state - Colorado - so I am imagining mine could take some time)....

I just got my prints done in Conroe because I work in the Woodlands and that was the earliest/closest appointment I could make (5 days out)

I don't believe that it takes any longer or shorter depending on where you live. Remember you are dealing with a government agency, nothing happens quickly. Your should get yours in two weeks to a month after all your info is submitted. When I got mine way back when it took three months and I had to wait every one of those.

I wanted to make sure I wasn't suppose to get an "confirmation email" yet. I did application online 12/4, I did & sent (via pdf file) class CHL-100 in on 12/11,, should I be awaiting on confirmation email even though I'm set for this Thursday 12/17/15 to do fingerprint's or am I going to receive a "confirmation email AFTER I do fingerprints? Anybody know would be very helpful??

If you submitted your CHL-100 via online then you should of received an e-mail confirmation to the e-mail you provided on the application.

If you did it yesterday (12/11), you likely won't get one until Monday.

I submitted my CHL-100 on a Saturday and didn't receive my confirmation e-mail until Monday.

Hope this helps.

I logged onto the website and it looks like my status has changed this morning because I can now change address, contact info, report a lost/stolen license....

Whoop!

Just waiting on my Alien Gear 3.0 Cloak to ship! I should have ordered that weeks ago, but got excited when my fiance got her LTC in the mail last week. I was trying to be patient and not check the site everyday (even though I did).

-Status Change 12/15/15
-Paper in hand 12/17/15

I feel so much better now. Last night I was sitting out on the Patio at a restaurant in the Woodlands next to a theater and saw a ton of people lined up for Star Wars - when I sadly got the feeling "What if there were an active shooter due to the large crowds?"

It is sad that this is the world we now live in and have to worry about that sort of thing, but I am glad I am now protecting myself.

I was told the same Swissy that I don't have to do anything once fingerprinting was done, Here's what either fingerprinting lady or you should have done ( I had to send mine myself) one of y'all should've downloaded (pdf file sent to RSD) the "Fingerprinting Application" looks like this below, completely filled out & signed by "finger lady" & yourself;
Hope this helps,

Swissy, FYI,,One more note for what it's worth, I was told I "would not" get a email confirmation (supporting doc's received successful) once I downloaded & sent fingerprint application, but I did get one (supporting doc's received successful)
