Reasonably brief stay in this room

Sent my renewal app off from the Hallettsville post office on 18 May and today (26 June) logged in and saw "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active". When that message came up the first time around it came in the mail that afternoon. Don't have the plastic in hand because it will go to my home in Houston and I'm probably stuck here until around September. My wife will go there in a day or two and let me know when it arrives. Anyway this beats the heck out of the 83 days I waited the first time around and it looks like yours truly the ultimate procrastinator has actually managed to get this taken care of over two months before expiration.

Since his is a renewal, I'm guessing "the plastic" is already in the pocket.

I'm in the same boat, sent mine in May 21st, still "processing application." Mine is a renewal which doesn't expire until October but the waiting is still driving me nuts! :)

Shore 'nuff Mama went home today and my card was in the mail the neighbor was holding so I guess mine went through in just under six weeks. If there's any money left there I'll be drawing social security before I have to deal with this again.

Somewhere in the back of my mind there's something about having to send the old card back to DPS or destroy it. Did I dream that or is it for real? If so how long do I have? I need a good excuse to make a quick run back to the house next week.
