Greetings all from Houston, let me start off by saying how much I appreciate this site for having such a great wealth of information and for helping us waiting to keep busy lol.
I began my journey on 8/13 when I submitted my app, and my CHL-100 on 8/21 when I completed my class at CHLNow in Houston, TX. Received conformation of receipt a day later both times… This is when the real waiting began. fast forward 1 month to 9/18, I called and asked for a status update since the online service leaves much to be desired only to be told it was still being reviewed. 9/21 I received an envelope from Texas Department Of Public Safety, Licensing and Registration Service…
And much to my horror it was completely floppy so I knew my Plastic wasn’t in it
. 11years ago I was placed on felony deferred adjudication probation, when I submitted my app online I listed my cause/case & spn numbers hoping that would be enough for them to see I was released early and completed it. Unfortunately they required something from the court with the state seal, 9/22 I was at the downtown court house obtaining the paperwork! I did not want to waste a day and immediately called and asked if i could scan and email them in, So I did and received an email conformation of receipt this morning 9/23.
I was told that it would take roughly 2 weeks to process my supporting documents so in the meantime I try to go on with life and live with the daily battle of refreshing the CHL site hoping for a change in my status lol.

Hopefully processing goes smoothly now!
I took the took the class and submitted my application on Wednesday the 23rd, but couldn't get scheduled for fingerprints before Thursday or Friday of next week which are both work days for me. I plan to take off Friday to get printed. Hopefully all goes well. I have no arrests or convictions, only two residences in 5 years, and one employer. So I hope they don't take longer than a month to process!

Was it a felony deferred adjudication that is exempt after a period of ten years from disposition?

Not sure where you live but it literally took me 10 minutes from the time I arrived to get my prints done until the time I walked out the door. I scheduled my appointment at 820 and arrived at 810 and was to work by 830. I also submitted my application online about 3 weeks before my course and was able to get printed 2 days later. I was able to submit all my supporting documents the minute I got home with my CHL-100. On the other side of the spectrum My buddy had to drive from corpus to George West or 3 rivers to get his prints done in a reasonable timeframe

Brian,
I am in a little bit of a fingerprinting dead zone apparently. Locations near me, 40 minutes to Galveston, 30 minutes to La Marque, 30 minutes to Pearland, 20 minutes to South Houston, 35 minutes to Baytown.
I had an appointment for Friday at Galveston (was first available for me when I signed up). I had to wait a week and a half because every location was booked. The day before my apt I called ahead to confirm and they told me I could only pay with a cashier's check or money order. So I took out a money order and was ready to do.
3 Hours before my appoint I got a call from Morphotrust that the person who works the Galveston location had unexpectedly quit their job.
I went online to reschedule and there were no appointments for 2 more weeks. I called the number and complained to the manager and they got me into the Baytown location on Saturday morning. The Baytown location took credit cards, personal checks, etc, and was very accommodating. Took me 10 minutes to get in and out and an hour and 10 minutes for getting there and back.

I feel your pain. Took me 3 weeks to get a fingerprinting appointment. When I finally went to my appt. the fingerprinting lady had no clue what she was doing, and I got a call a few days later saying I had to come in and get reprinted. So, I called the CHL hotline and was told my prints WERE uploaded the first time I was printed and that if I were to get reprinted, it would cause my CHL to be delayed. When I got my NC license, we had to get printed by the local Sheriff office, that was a lot smoother and quicker.

Yep my felony deferred adjudication is exempt after a the ten years from the disposition, I verified with DPS & court 208 before I even began the process. Currently Oct 7th & haven't heard anything back, Just trying to keep on living life like normal lol. Spent the last 5 days in Vegas so that was able to keep my mind plenty busy.

So a little update.
Apparently I jumped the gun a little bit, When I applied it had not been the full 10 years as I believed. However I was only off by 3 months or so, DPS was awesome about it and agreed to hold on to my paperwork and re process it at a later date so that I would not need to do all the paperwork again. so the date was (Sunday) 12/6 that I needed to wait for, Come Monday 12/7 I called as soon as I was off of work and was pleasantly surprised
!
12/7/2015, My card went to print and should be here with in 2 weeks.
