So, it's been 9 months and a few days since beginning the process....
8/31/14 Application...email confirmation received.
9/17/14 Fingerprints
3/29/15 CLH class and sent CHL-100 in via RSD...email confirmation received.
I had a work/financial/scheduling issue that caused me to wait for taking the class, but dint think it would effect my getting processed.
I have called 3 times since sending in the CHL-100 and been told each time that it "in processing", but that they do show receiving all of my documents as mentioned above. Today is 45 days since sending in the CHL-100, and no update on the website.
I'm concerned that I'll run out of the one year timeframe if things don't pick up and get processed soon. I see through the threads that people are starting the process and getting plastic in a month or less sometimes. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to 'push" them along to get my stuff done? I have no past issues or problems that should be holding things up, but this time is killing me.
Any ideas?

You're really sitting at about 6 weeks since the clock doesn't start until all pieces are in. I'd give it a few more and I bet you'll see something happen.jsell99 wrote:So, it's been 9 months and a few days since beginning the process....

Re: 9 Months now.....
I agree with TVGuy. The clock starts ticking when they receive all your documents. I'd say give it 2 more weeks, or 60 days from 03/29/15. Then start your calling.
Hope you get it before then. And welcome to the forum! There's a wealth of information here and a great bunch of folks to help answer your questions.

Thanks guys. That's what I've been telling myself, just thought I'd reach out to see if I was wrong about anything.
Thanks for the feedback.

Re: 9 Months now.....and 10 days
So... I figured I would update my timeline now..
8/31/14 Application...email confirmation received.
9/17/14 Fingerprints
3/29/15 CLH class and sent CHL-100 in via RSD...email confirmation received.
5/28/15 Emailed CHL-100 directly to a rep who said he would expedite my application
6/8/15 Status changed on website
6/10/15 Received plastic
I do have to say that I called several times between the 3/29/15 date and the 5/28/15 date and was told each time that "everything has been received" and that I should "just wait for the process" to run it's course. It wasn't until the last call I made when I finally realized I should have them TELL ME what they had, rather than insist I had sent everything in and was waiting. when the rep told me on 5/29 that they had my app and fingerprints, but no CHL-100 form, I was shocked, because each rep before had said that it was received. And now I know that was not true. Each of the times (6 or 7 total) I called before I was told they had everything.
I would strongly suggest that if you do call, to have them TELL YOU what forms they show to have, regardless of what ever confirmations may have been electronically sent. I received a confirmation that my last form was received, but it turns out it was not. It was frustrating for me, because I was waiting (assuming things were in process) and nothing was happening on their end.
To be fair, I am pleased with the time it took after they had the info, but they never once sent me snail mail, email or any other requests for further documentation.
Nine months and ten days later, I am now licensed and legal. It feels good, and I can't stop grinning . Off to Wally World soon for the next step.....
