On line renewal

1) on 11/09/2013
2) mailed in form 11/12/2013
3) received email confirmation of emailed version of renewal paper work 11/26/2013

I could not get a confirmation on my paper work, so I emailed a copy. No movement on online status. Still says waiting for my paperwork. :txflag:

Weeks later and still no movement on the login confirmation system. So I just got of the phone with DPS after a 29min wait on hold (third try). After waiting a month after the application has been paid for they now are going to move the application along. WOW speed is a trait not shared with the governement. So now I am told the 45 days begin after the application gets put in (do not mention that they sat on my money and application for a month).

WOW, is saw movement. Two months after paying application fees my status changed. Now waiting for background check. Maybe I will get it for the spring thaw? Only time will tell.

Well it took one sent letter, three emails and a lot of time on hold and one conversation and two months to finally get my renewal plastic. I am not sure why the bother with the status links if they are not going to keep them up to date? Well until the next time.

It is my fault for not giving them 6 months head start on the process!!! :banghead:

I remember how painful the waiting game was. But before you know it you will be applying for your renewal. Can't believe it's been 6 years since I left the "waiting room". Take the time to practice carrying in your home. Try out different holsters and different carry positions.
Oh, welcome to the forum.
