Took my class on 3/3/07, sent packet 3/8/07...and now I wait.

Oh well I am just ordering my holster and it will take about as long as my CHL to get.

I think someone designed it that way! haha...

Oh and this is my first post...nice place you got here.

TX_TLC,
Welcome aboard! Enjoy this great forum. It is a great place to learn from our fellow CHLers.

Try to be patient...it's difficult, but you can do it!

Welcome to the forum TX_TLC. You will be concealed carrying out in public in no time. There is alot of posts to read and consider here in addition to getting that little law book branded into your head between now and the time the plastic arrives. Try not to check the website every two hours for the duration of your wait like I did and you will not drive yourself crazy liike I did. :deadhorse:

Again, welcome!

Welcome to the forum and........

:iagree:

But then again, that's part of the experience.

You'll know you've got it bad when you have a shortcut to the CHL website on your desktop like I did. Makes it a whole lot easier to check your status three times a day!

Welcome TX!

Glad you came over here.

TX-TLC is a well respected member of another forum we both belong to.

I am proud to have my friend join us here.

No doubt, the wait will be agonizing TX, but it is well worth it.

You and I are in the same boat. Took my class the same day, sent mine out on 03/07/07. You didn't happen to take your class with me at Tom Schaefer's place, did you?

Unless TX drove all the way to Austin to take his class, then no.

He's a West Texas boy. I'll let him say from "where" if he wants.

Ah. See, he's got nothing in his profile, so I couldn't tell. ;-)

My bet is he'll get his first, since he's in West Texas and I'm here in Travis County.

Oh absolutely!

If you actually live in Austin (Travis/Williamson county), then I guess they figure they have extra time to process it (who knows). :???:

Thanks again for the welcomes! Flint- appreciate the kind words

As he said I am out here in west Texas, Abilene to be specific. Took my class here from two Abilene PD officers. 17 people in the class, 8 of them were related! :D I was not related to anyone...as I am a transplanted Texans...from the planes of Nebraska.

I will post up when I receive my PIN and of course THE card.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got the plastic today!

Had a couple problems along the way with a Class C back in 1999 that Austin kept telling me was on the "edge" of the 5 year cut off. My 6 mo. probation was over in EARLY 2000.

That is some fuzzy math for sure. Oh well it is all behind me.

I am legal!
