Statues updates from the DPS showing that they have received your paperwork take 2-3 weeks from the time that you mailed it. Seeing that today 2 weeks, you may see something change this week. If you don't see any update by the end of next week you can always give them a call. But you're well within the usual time frame. The waiting sucks but you should see some updates with in the next week.

Accept the 60 day waiting period and don't check daily. You'll get an ulcer. Mine said mailed over a week ago and still waiting. After reading the forums, it just means it was sent to the mailroom and not mailed. But, like I said, just tell yourself it will be awhile. Maybe you will get a surprise earlier! (Doubtful) (I had to re-type this, hopefully it didn't post 2 times) Good Luck!

Hang in there, the wait can be really frustrating and believe me, I found myself checking the website everyday  :banghead: :mad5 . I read from this forum a lot during my wait - there is a tremendous amount of information, advice, tips and experience here. I also spent time at the range, got my holster and practiced carrying at home. So get comfortable, you are gonna be here for a lil bit :patriot: :txflag:
