New (somewhat) to TX. Previously spent short time residing in Austin (Wells Branch area). Now, out of League City.

Like the sig says... Hope to get the card in a month! :totap:

:iagree: Seems a one-month period is typical. I'm not impatient. I can wait.

Mailed mine on July 30th. It just went to Background Check Under Review today. (8/10/2012)
I'll settle for a Bronze in this race.

Good luck.

Hopefully you wait is shorter than mine. I've seen a few on here mail around the same time as me or after and get their plastic. But I still wait.

I mailed June 20, delivered, June 21, and status updated on July 3.

DPS recevied my application on 7:30, it is now pending manufacturing (8/10). I have a clearance from work so that might have spead things up. :thewave

Hard to say what's the reason for getting it faster or slower. I've had a clearance since 1986 and was investigated and upgraded to a higher clearance in 1988. My reinvestigation was conducted last year without a problem. I have never been arrested and have nothing more than a couple of speeding tickets is all my years. Yet, I've been in the process since June and waiting on my background check since July 3. I've even had concealed permits in other states.

I just don't get it.

Camp away... :tiphat:

No status change. From reading around, takes around 2 weeks just to update to "received". :waiting:

Yeah it was a pretty interesting feeling -
Getting back from the post office, just having mailed the packet, and sitting down :woohoo I'm all done!!!

When does it come, I wonder?

I'll log onto the DPS site.

Now I realize it's completely irrational to do this but I did it anyway. I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas.
I managed to avoid logging on to the site today, 1 day after mailing. Small steps.:
