County Investigations

Anyone with any insight into this process? According to DPS, they have no control over the timetable of the the field investigations. From what I can tell, the basic timetables are close in that your pin arrives at a certain time, the application begins processing at a certain time. All of those activities seem to be pretty close in duration. It seems to me the wildcard in how long the individual counties take to return the field investigations. That seems to be the determining factor in 60 days or more than 60. Maybe frustration over timetable belongs with the county. Any thoughts?
