I completed my online application and completed my fingerprints on 6/14/12. Then I mailed all required documents on 6/18/2012. I have not seen a status change online. It still says, "Application processed online. Concealed Handgun Licensing is waiting on the receipt of required materials. Once the application and materials have been received by Concealed Handgun Licensing and processing has begun, a more detailed status will appear on this page." I have seen many people on here that say they mailed their documents and they were received by the DPS in a couple of days. I have not had this same result. I called the CHL Customer Relations and they said I should not see any status change until a month from when I put the documents in the mail. Can anyone else confirm if this is normal?

It took exactly a month for my application to show up received online. Now I am waiting for "Background Check: Under Review" to go away.

Somewhere around two weeks before you will see an update to the web site.

Mine had the same status as yours for 15 days. I know some sent them in with return signature required. I did not.

I uploaded my documents and less than a week went to background review. At the end of the wee I'll be two weeks in background check

Checked my status this morning and found PROGRESS!!!
This is what it now shows!

Application : Received
Fingerprints : Under review
Affidavits : Received
DL or ID : Valid
Citizenship : No documentation required
Passport photo holder : Received
Photo : Received
Proof of Classroom training : Received
Proof of Proficiency training : Received
Fee : Received
Background Check : Under review
Concealed Handgun License : Print pending completion of application review

Is it normal for Finger prints to still be under review at this stage?

wouldn't think so, since they are electronically transmitted.
