First of all I would like to say thanks to ElGato. He was my instructor and I really enjoyed the class. I expected that I would not enjoy the class but he really made it enjoyable and very informative. I am about to head to the post office and mail off my paperwork. Now the wait begins...

Welcome to the forum. I received a lot of good advise when I started my wait (still waiting), do alot of reading, practice at home (safely) and soak in all the good advise on this site.

I also received tons of good advice from the members here, while I was waiting. Now, more than a year after getting my plastic, I am still receiving tons of good advice.

Well It has been over a week with no update. I know many people have said it could take awhile. I'm really hoping to at least show they received it or something.

ETA: I payed almost $13 to be sure they had it by noon the next day.

I mailed mine certified, got there in two days, still took two weeks for them to update the website. You will probably see a change next week. I don't know if it is just coincidental but all of my changes occured on Wednesdays. (just saying).

I did the next day service as well. Post Office said delivery was made 5/24. No action yet. Nice to know I'm not alone

Mailed mine in on 5/21 certified and received the return receipt that indicated it was signed for on 5/23. I am hoping for a status update sometime next week.

The first few days were the hardest. I keep telling myself not to check the website and I've actually done a good job of keeping it off of my mind.

Yeah I really don't need to be checking my status. Ill be out of state working when it comes in and will not be able to carry while I'm there so it will be the end of August before I will be able to carry.

Now let's hope my squeaky clean background speeds up the process lol.

Yep! Seems to be few that seem to have to wait the full 60 days they are allowed. Hopefully yours does not land in that stack.
I'm at 71 days since mailed. Hoping to find my envelope in the mail today.

Well good luck! Hope it comes in. I've been wandering around the house carrying trying to see what works an what doesn't. Also trying to break the holster in. Damn thing speaks like crazy with very step.

I just checked mine today and it finally gave a status update of Background Check. Mine was received by DPS on 5/23. It should be interesting to watch the progress for you and I since they both seem to have updated yesterday.

ask around in here or do a search, I am sure there are some conditioning tips that will help the leather stop "speaking" with every step
