Had to redo my passport photos due to being to "yellow" ... Uummm ok, but called dps to see if they got the new ones and was advised that they are two weeks behind. Not really sure of what they mean but they have had me in background check for about 30 days now.. Anyone else feeling the pain of a 30 day background right now?

I am at 21 days in background review

41 days and counting...

Geez this sucks...my background check just started on Monday.

So much for a 40 day mailbox to mailbox license

Day 37 here.

Day 42 in "Background Check : Under review" and not a skeleton in the closet...

I sent a polite email to the DPS and will inform y'all of their response.

I don't think it's a rule, just an estimated timeframe. If it is longer I would suggest phone calls, emails or letters.

You guys who are 40 days into your BG check...how long before your information changed online where you could see the progress?

At least 2 weeks once they receive your packet.

It changed to received 2 weeks after it was sent for me as well. Also, just got the pic back they said was" too yellow". It's me as I am, I am that yellow!!

Mine was 2.5 weeks before it updated online to background check...not looking forward to the next 40 days

I just went back and added up my days. Day 48 in background check.

I called and talked to a lady today who told me it should be completed by Friday. She said to call them back if it isn't. She told me that's how long it's taking right now. I bit my tongue and didn't tell her that everyone who I took the class with (and mailed their stuff after I did) had already received their plastic. Some almost a month ago. I should have figured out I was in the slow stack when it took over 3 weeks to be updated to received.

On Friday mine went from background check to mailed. I have not received it though.
