I just found out....

... that my status is "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active". So there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I can see it but I'm not quite there. Thanks for the great threads and info on this site. It has made time go by faster.

When should I expect plastic to be in the mail box?

Got mine one week to the day after the status changed...

This is the hardest part of the wait.

Good luck :txflag:

Mine arrived on the 3th day after changing the status on the web site, pretty quick if you ask me, a lot better than the big wait from the starting point

Welcome to the club and carry safe!

Exactly, I just got home from work and checked the mail. There it was. It finally came. My status changed to complete on monday. So, I guess I was close to 60 days, door to door.

Thanks for the company! I will check back on everyone in the waiting room. It is so interesting seeing everyone's timelines. Good stuff.

Ok, I just looked at my CHL and my last name is not spelled correctly. What now? Does anybody know the process to correct his?

Take a look at this thread. Similar problem. The concensus was that you should call DPS and explain the problem, but that your plastic in hand should be legal while waiting on a replacement. That may be true in your case also.

Just an update.. I called and talked to someone today and he said that they would pull my file and start an investigation regarding the mispelling of my last name. If it was their fault, I would receive a replacement card free of charge in about 3 to 4 weeks. If it was found to be my fault (i mispelled my own last name on the application) then I would be required to pay $25 and they would then send out the replacement card. He took down my number and said someone would call me when they knew the outcome of the "investigation".

I suppose I am still legal in the meantime right?

Hee-hee. How likely is that? I can't believe they even said that to you.

I'd say yes, but I'm no authority on the subject. If you're stopped and a LEO even notices it, tell him it's being investigated by DPS and you expect a replacement soon. I'm sure it'll be taken care of in a couple of weeks at the most.

Well, I just received my new plastic in the mail with the correct spelling of my last night.. I was told I would recv a phone call from Austin to advise the status of my "investigation" but recv'd the plastic first. I reckon the investigation proved that I actually did spell my name correctly on the application so it had to be their fault.

Probably the best holster I have owned a long time. I submitted my application Nov 28th and recvd plastic on Feb 1st. Noticed my last name was misspelled on my first plastc, called them, recvd the new on 3 weeks later.
