Same to you. Still anxiously checking the status site. 16 days now in "Background Check Under Review." One guy on here was in "background check under review" status for just TWO DAYS! His girlfriend must work at DPS or something....
11/21 - applied online
11/23 - fingerprints done at L-1 site
12/3 - CHL class
12/5 - mailed in packet
12/12 - Everything received, background check under review

That's very similar to my timeline for the chl process. I'd say if anything you should be receiving it in the mail any day now. I was only 2 days quicker to the mailbox so I just recently received my plastic a few days ago. Nearly there though, don't give up on the process!

12/28 and still in manufacturing...I'm guessing this is where the holiday slows it down a little, but definitely not giving up on the process. Anything under 60 days is good with me...it's not like I have a CCW yet anyway.
I'll check the mail today, maybe it's just slow updating online.

Awesome!! Hopefully you picked up a good gun today. I wish I had the resources to buy a smaller carry, but a trip out of town's preventing that. Don't forget to visit this room from time to time, maybe your experience can help another member gain back their sanity during the waiting period. Best wishes to ya and be safe!!

Yes I did...went with a Glock 17. I was going to go with my carry gun, but a friend has me shooting IDPA practice matches with him, and I needed something I could shoot some decent distance with. He's already modified the trigger and added extended mag and slide releases. Three-dot sights and I'll be ready to go. Another 2-3 mths and I'll probably get the SR9C or the LC9 to carry.

...Or you could look at that sweet little Springfield XDs .45. I am loving everything I am seeing come out of SHOT, and I have really been waiting from them to release a single stack in the XD series. The .40 and 9mm will follow.
