After what seemed like forever my status has changed to manufacturing pending! Hope to have plastic in hand by Christmas. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone on this forum for all for all of the help and advice.

1. CHL Class 10/22/11
2. Online Application Submitted 10/22/11
3. Fingerprints Taken 10/31/11
4. Package mailed 10/31/11
5. Delivery confirmation received 11/2/11
6. 1st update. BG and fingerpring under review 11/10/11
7. Manufacturing pending 12/11/11

Ahh it took nearly a month forthe BG check to process through? My fingerprints are fine but my BG is under review, hope mine clears next week and welcome to the club!

Seems the BG checks are taking a little longer this month. Maybe the Holiday Season? I have been in the BG under review since 11-23.

Congrats!! It's a great feeling to have a CHL and carry! My wife was fingerprinted the first time on Aug 7, second time one week later (she has no fingerprints) and DPS is still waiting on the second set of fingerprints. Oh yes, we have called DPS and L1 several times. Maybe this last call today will shake the trees enough.

Manufacturing still pending...... Wonder what the hold up is? Im getting ansy!

Bummer. My status changed to manufacture pending today. Still hoping that it changes to Mailed soon.

As of today it is still pending. I'm hoping that they are slow to update and will show mailed tomorrow and have it before Christmas.

I checked mine this morning and it has changed to just say Manufacturing. I was a bit surprised that that "Pending" fell off. Maybe that means it will mail soon.

I'm still pending. Oh well guess ill just have to wait.

My license was in the mail today. The web site still shows manufacturing pending. Thanks again everyone for all of your help. This is a great forum!

Your saying that it hasn't updated because I am a member of this forum?
I'm just glad to have it! I'm carrying my Kahr P380 in a cheap uncle mikes iwb holster. Carries really well. I'm very nervous and scared someone will notice though. Hope I get over it soon lol. I think it's gonna take forever before I can bring myself to carry my Glock 23 though as I'm 5'6 and 165 lbs.

lol, I am saying that the forum is a good one, in part, because you are also a member. Little compliment. Take it and run.

I have been carrying a Glock 30 since it superceded my XDm 3.8" 9mm compact. I am 6"1" and 265, but I think even you could pull it off in a SuperTuck. The thing about the size of your gun, it gets magnified in your imagination. No one else notices.
