Where are you going first after you get Plastic?

I would like to know if you have planned your first Carry experience, when your plastic arrives?
I think I will take a walk in the local park. Hopefully it stays in the holster.

The required first outing is called a Wally-Walk. That is where you go to Wal-Mart and follow a specific set of guidelines.

Here's the traditional "first carry" routine:
Wally Walk
The exact origins of the Wally Walk are forever shrouded in mystery but we do know that men have been doing the Wally Walk since prehistoric times.
Note that a Hawaiian shirt is
de rigueur (that means "required" for you folks in College Station). You get extra credit for photos.

I sent my wife the rules as above, and she said "just get a purse and don't worry about it" LOL

A dark patterned shirt or blouse will suffice. "Wally Walk" refers, as you've already deduced, to Wal-Mart, sometimes called Wally World.

My first outing with my CHL was to the grocery store. Basically the same difference as the "Wally Walk" except that I dont set foot in a Wal Mart unless it is absolutley necessary. I very much dislike Wal Mart and everything it represents. I am the kind of guy that doesnt mind spending a few extra bucks to buy from anywhere BUT Wal Mart.

There are two Wal-Marts in close proximity to where I live, I don't like going to either one of them. I will have to make a Target Tour vs a Wally Walk if and when I ever get my CHL.

My first outing will involve going to the post office parking lot, a posted Central Apprasial District office and then to a little league baseball game on school grounds. I'll be sure to use the public restroom while I'm at it (just for Oldgringo).
OK, seriously. I will be going to Wally World for the forum tradition of the Wally Walk.

But it's optional.
