I have just joined because I thought it might be time. I have been trying to get my CHL for the last 7 months, and finaly am gaining momentum. if you look below I have been just about as impatient as the rest, but patience is a virtue i suppose, and i have no virtues at all. But i never emailed them and did alot of phone calls. now i am waiting on the Bill to pass Congress for S.845 - Respecting States Rights and Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2009!!!!!!

Took course: 2/21/09
sent in paperwork: 2/22/09
application recieved: 2/24/09
processing application: 3/7/09
application returned due to them not knowing what they are doing: 5/12/09
resubmitted: 5/14/09
processing: 5/22/09
still waiting on backround check: 7/22/09
still waiting on south region backround check: 8/2/09
sent off for printing: 8/25/09

Thanks guys. It has been a long time in the making for this moment. I have a few freinds that took the class with me and still have not heared anything back. I wish it would not take so long, but glad that i waited and did not give up.

imjester77, what county are you in? It seems as though counties with larger populations take more time for the b.g. check, thus a longer delay in issuing.

You'll be waiting a long time. That bill was two votes short of passing.

I am from Galveston county, but since I am Military, I move allot. I am sure they had a field day with all of the addresses.
