I just called DPS this morning. The gentleman I spoke with said everything looks good and it should be issued in the next few days!

Wow. My status changed to "Processing Application" around March 20th. Dare I call and ask if mine will be issued in a few days???

I would definitely wait until they've had it for 60 days. They get a little testy otherwise and will just blow you off.

Yeah. I'm not going to bother. From what I've read, most of the time you'll be told to piss off anyway. I'm not even sure when my 60 days started. I've read that it's as of the time they start "Processing Application."

Well, I called DPS today and spoke with Simone. According to Simone, my background check is still being "processed; but everything else looks really good." She seems to think I should have my plastic "by the end of the month." A far cry from the 'few days' to issue that I had previously been told. Grrr.

Called again Monday and spoke with a gentlemen @ DPS. Said by the end of next week it should be issued.

Today is day 73.

I feel your pain. Hopefully it's by the end of the week for you!
