Seeing that DPS envelope in the mailbox is a great feeling! Especially after the long wait.

I just received it in the mail today. :patriot: :anamatedbanana :fire

It took 88 days since my final documents were received, and a total of 102 days.

I don't have a problem with how long it took, but I never should have had to wait 77 days to find out for sure they had everything at the 1st update.

Yes, I sent the documents certified, like many others. But that signature only meant that someone, somewhere received them.
They still could have been delivered to the wrong place. It's not like the Post Office never mis-delivered anything.
Also; it never showed they actually received the fingerprints.

I really think they owe us an initial update so we know they actually got everything. Then it would be easier to wait. :rules:

Got it today!

Application online: 10/29
Mailed CHL-100 and did fingerprints: 11/2
Update - Received: 1/14 (I believe).
Update - Background check: 1/16
Update - Manufacturing: 1/17
Update - Mailed: 1/18

For those waiting, keep on hangin in there.

Whenever I was getting updates, I read this whole thread probably 10 times over comparing times and updates and such, and it gave me a general idea.

Best advice I have is check the website every couple days, and try to get comfy with your carry rig.

God bless.

CONGRATS EVERYONE. My buddy actually got a call from dps that his packet was received. Either he was lying to me or dps really surprised me :confused5

Application & all required documents submitted: 10/17/13

After several calls to DPS, I broke down and finally called my state representative.
After a couple days waiting, I received a call Saturday from the CHL division.
After I explained my situation to him, he told me that a large number of applications submitted online were lost.
He said this was caused by an overwhelming amount of applications in September/October. Apparently their electronic mailbox was "full" and any applications that were received after it was full, were just lost.

He also said that the people answering the phones do not know this type of information, which explains why I kept getting the same response from them saying to give it more time.

Talk about frustrating. :mad5

After we spoke, I emailed my documents to him and by the next day, my status was changed to "print pending...".

So, if you have been waiting over 90 days, I would recommend contacting someone at the DPS and sending in your application again. :banghead:

Glad to hear they are getting you taken care of & that they are putting in overtime to catch up to the backlog.

I'm sorry to hear what happened, but am glad you finally got it resolved. Congratulations.

I really hope there are no more October applications waiting. If there are, do what texsanlaura did.

I think us October applicants really did have the hardest time. September got 30 day processing times, with one stating it was 16 days. We watched the processing time grow to 40, 60, 80, and 90 days. It always seemed to keep just ahead of us. Now November applicants are seeing the time go down again.

I sincerely hope any October folks left get sorted out by DPS for immediate handling. Good luck to you all.

Yes, I got mine Saturday. But I keep coming back here in hopes all other October folks also get thiers.

I still don't have an update after submitting it 10/21/2013. After not hearing anything and calling and being told they lost my documents, I also called my representative and got a call from DPS. The lady I spoke with said they did have my documents and it looked like it only had a few more days to be complete. Still no updates online though. I will call again in a week if I don't get it or an update. I heard some never got an update but did get the license.
