The inconsistencies from one applicant to another in terms of time is more than just a statistical anomaly. One would expect the wait times to level out but they don't. Some receive their plastic within a few weeks whereas others are forced to wait many months. Inquiring minds want to know.
If someone has a clean background vs someone who has had arrests (regardless of how far back & how serious) it DOES make a very big difference on time frame. It takes several months for those with records, where as those with no record takes a few weeks on average. Also, those that are born out of the country & send Permanent Resident Cards take longer as well. It also extends the time greatly if DPS has to send letters for missing forms, corrections on forms, etc. It also takes longer for those with out of state DL/ID's for the photos. There are lots of factors why not everyone has the exact same time frames.

I don't think an arrest record makes the process any longer, unless they need additional information or the arrests are recent. I have a few arrests on my record, but they are from 15years ago. I also literally move every year.. My processing time was 4 weeks and I'm on "Print Pending" now.

Mine's been Print Pending for almost a week now. I figured nothing else to do while I wait so I went back through some of the old timelines and it looks like a large amount of people see "Mailed" on a Thursday. Do they typically mail out all at once on a Wednesday or something then?

My updated LTC timeline:

Supporting Documents Submitted and E-mail Confirmation - 6/6/2016

Status page stuck on needing CHL-100 information, background check, and passport holder photo all yellow during this time.

I think it varies by applicant (clean record vs. a few arrests, etc.), but I think it's about 2 weeks.

I am new here but I wanted to give an update to the statement that the license is only being mailed on Wednesday and Thursday. On my application it was print pending for 6 days and today it states it was mailed. All in all from the day the app went in until today it has been 32 days.

Well my wife emailed supporting documents last Monday the 18th. She is freaking out b/c she has not recieved a email saying they were recieved. I am enjoying every minute of it as she gave me hell when was waiting on mine :evil2:. I read through some post and see that a confirmation email may or may not happen, when I did mine I had one in a day. Hopefully her status will change soon so she will settle down.

Application submitted and confirmation received: 07/16/16
LTC Class: 07/17/16
CHL-100 submitted: 07/18/2016
Fingerprints completed through Identogo: 07/19/2016
Submitted Fingerprint receipt and CHL-100 again (just to be safe): 07/23/2016
Called DPS (to confirm they had received everything): 07/25/2016
Sat on hold for 5 minutes and then spoke with a lady from regulatory service who told me I needed to submit my chl-100. I explained that I had already submitted it twice and so she looked again and said they had everything and told me to wait 8-12 weeks.
So...here I am. Carrying my gun around the house and staring outside with tears in my eyes, waiting to wally walk. I think I'll bug DPS again tomorrow just to be sure as the lady I spoke with seemed confused about everything.

Online Registration: 06/30/2016 Received Confirmation with barcode
Fingerprints: 07/05/2016 @ IdentoGo
CHL-100: 07/16/16 Class and Submission
Currently I have not received any further confirmation of supporting documents being received and my DPS lookup shows awaiting documents and processing.
