I'm in a love/hate relationship with the DPS website. I can't wait to check it daily and then I hate it when there isn't a change.

Looks like I might get plastic before my trip. Just went into Manufacturing Pending this morning. As my 2 year old would say, "It's nice".Valor wrote:Probably just depends on who desk the application lands on. But at this point, looks like the license will be waiting for you when you return from vaca.BKRushing wrote:Man this wait is a beast! And I am known for being extremely patient. I took my CHL class 5/16, Fingerprints 5/17, mailed packet 5/18, went to Background Review 5/28 and have been sitting there ever since. I wonder if having lived out of state for two years is the big holdup. You would think having a state issued insurance agent license (which requires a background check) would speed things up a little. Was hoping to have this before I left for vacation on July 1st. Guess that is out the window now.
Such is life.
Congrats! Mine just went to mailed this morning. Now if it can just make it by Friday I can Wally Walk in Florida! Probably won't land in mailbox until Saturday or Monday is my guess. Still a nice way to end a vacation.BritOnTour wrote:Another update. My plastic has been mailed!
Hopefully, I should have it by the end of the week!!

There are also a lot of people who have been eligible for any number of years, never bothered pursuing a CHL, suddenly wake up and decide they want to apply, and get impatient because it is taking so long. Not quite so compassionate, when they could have already had their CHL a long time ago if they'd bothered to apply then.
