Finally arrived in the mail. 3 weeks after reporting never received after waiting a MONTH to tell them it was never received.
Apparently the US postal service can take up to 30 days to deliver from Austin to Austin TX. Really?

Day 149!!!
Status updated Mar 7. Mailed or Not Mar 7.
Called 30 days later.
Allow 10 to 14 business days to mail NEW card.

Never answered online status requests

Still waiting.
Great job! Not!

Filed all in with fingerprints Feb. 24, 2016. Didn't figure it could possibly take this long but I have dealt with DPS on numerous occasions. Have had a TCLEOSE Peace Officer license (expired 2012), Texas DPS Private Security Board Level 3 Commissioned, Level 4 Concealed Personal Protection Officer, and Texas Private Investigator license all current. They always use some loophole when they get behind. My example is finally got a response on 4/27 that they did not receive the CHL100 which of course I had uploaded in the completed packet. Therefore, I sent via certified signature required mail this time but of course, this buys them 180 days to process. Totally bogus but eh.....I should have known from past experience. Filed for daughters one week after mine and she received right at 60 days. They sure don't take their time collecting their money and calling for donations.

Wow at some of the times I'm reading on here.

This is why permit less carry is needed. It's unconstitutional needing to apply for a license to exercise a right.

Unacceptable. You can die literally waiting for your permit like the lady in NJ.

I'm at about 80 days waiting on my VA permit, but I got two other permits so I'm covered but it's just the point.
