How Long Should It Take?

#1

Timeline:
April 4th - App submitted
April 8th - Fingerprints
April 11th - Class and all supporting documents sent.

Anyone have a guesstimate of when I should get my plastic?

4-13 - I just called DPS to check if they received my document's that I uploaded Saturday. The rep checked the system and told me they have not been received and I have to allow their processing department 2-4 weeks to grab the email and upload the documents into their system. Within 3 minutes of hanging up the phone I got an email from DPS stating they received everything.

Just an update.. there still isn't a status update online so I just called DPS and they told me my app finished processing yesterday and my license is in the mail.

After reading you timeline and having a timeline of very close to yours I will be calling Monday. Hopefully I will get the same answer.

Keep in mind I have been calling them at least twice a week .. I figured a little subtle pressure through phone calls can't hurt. I also had OTC birth documents to provide so I thought it was going to take longer But I think the constant phone calls did the trick

Thanks for the heads up. I'll try that approach starting next week.

After waiting the weekend and not seeing a status change online I called DPS to verify that I was given the correct information and to see if my license is really in the mail. They told me my license has been printed but not mailed yet. Once it is mailed then I will see status change online

Best time to call is early morning. . And remember they probably log calls and make notations about why you called. . I always had a different excuse for every call and just used some tact or pretended I was confused about the response I received from the rep previously. .lol
