hello fellow Texans iam new to this. maybe some can answer me. i done my online app mid august 2013 septembet 3 2013 sent entire package 1 day overnight mail is it to soon to see any thing on my status ? thanx really looking forward in jopining the ranks of chl

Yes, it is too soon to see anything change on your status. That does not mean they are not working on it. That just means that updating the website is not a top priority for them.

Stay calm, don't worry. It will be here sooner than you think!

My wife and I also sent our packages in on September 3rd, but by regular mail, and our status hasn't been updated either. I have been told it may take several weeks for the status to be updated on the DPS site. So, we will just be patient and wait.

Update on ours. My wife's status today shows everything done except for the background check which is in progress. Mine, on the other hand, still indicates awaiting receipt of the required documentation.

Further update. I checked the CHL site this morning and both mine and my wife's background checks show complete and the licenses are in manufacturing. So from September 3rd when I mailed the paperwork to today is only 16 days, not too shabby.
