Applied Online

#1

Post by johns6 »

On the recommendation of my instructor I submitted all my completed documents online on 03/03/2013 as he seemed to think it would save a couple of weeks, and that the state was encouraging online submission. Does anyone have an idea as to how long it should take to show a change in my status? As of today it still shows waiting for all necessary documents. One would think the state could have a better way of letting you know they have received all your documents. As it is now there is a feeling of uncertainty as to whether or not they have all your paper work.

I applied online and had fingerprints and everything all in 1/24. I've been watching this board fairly closely and I think it's a wash. In fact, some snail mail people seemed to move along faster.

6-Feb, Thirteen days after my "all-in" i got an email that acknowledged recept, but the status page showed "awaiting doucments" until it changed to "background under review" on 1-Mar.

Seriously, if everything goes well, and in terms of "threabouts:" Submit all your stuff and you'll probably get an email acknowledment in about two weeks. About two to four weeks after that, your status will change to some form of "background under review". Two to six weeks after that, your status will change to "manufacturing pending." Zero to six days after that it goes to "mailed", and one to two weeks after that, you get your plastic. However, within those parameters hang time seems to vary wildly without much rhyme or reason.

About the only thing I HAVEN'T seen here, is how long it takes somebody to get rejected.
