DPS got my paperwork back on 12-13. January 8th was updated as follows.

Application : Received
Fingerprints : Under review
Affidavits : Received
DL or ID : Valid
Citizenship : No documentation required
Passport photo holder : Received
Photo : Received
Proof of Classroom training : Received
Proof of Proficiency training : Received
Fee : Received
Background Check : Under review
Concealed Handgun License : Print pending completion of application review

Question is when your package showed received did it show fingerprints and background under review? I ask because everyone says they are in background but nothing on prints. Thanks in advance.

Just depends on who is doing the updating on a specific day... Mine said background pending but never showed that my prints were received until just a few days before it said manufacturing. And my wife had a similar issue... Her prints didn't show up as rejected until 2 weeks after we got the letter in the mail saying they were rejected.

Mine looked exactly the same yesterday. I think they are really looking at the prints closely. I know when mine were done, the computer told the tech how good the scan was and on a few it had to be rescanned on the spot.

I'm not sure what it means. Mine also shows back ground under review, but it shows finger prints completed. Mine was updated on Jan 17.

Yeah I wasn't sure what to think. I had my prints done a few weeks before submitting. Hadn't seen anyone post that they had fingerprints under review before. I'm hopeful I see a change on something in the next week or so.

As stated above the USPS had them receive on December 13. Changed to background under review January 8.

Received my license today. December 13th arrived at DPS. January 28th in my mailbox. 46 days with three holidays.
