Still nothing but, "License Status: Application processed online. Concealed Handgun Licensing is waiting on the receipt of required materials. Once the application and materials have been received by Concealed Handgun Licensing and processing has begun, a more detailed status will appear on this page."

It has been 25 days since I completed the application, 18 days since I mailed my packet (photos, chl-100 etc)...some of yall seem to have had updates already. Should I call the DPS?

No. Don't call. They take average 3 weeks to update your status. Wait 24 days from the day you mailed it (not counting weekend or holidays like today) before you call.

Ok, makes sense...based on your numbers I should begin calling on Nov 30th if no update? That would be 25 work days (no holidays/weekend days) from the day I mailed the supporting docs in.

Honestly, you should give it another week. You sent your document not too long after mine. i'm sure they've received it and everything checks off. Wait another week, i'm sure it'll update by then man. no worries. who knows how long i'll have to wait for a background check...

I believe it was mailed Monday - they should send mail out on Monday anyway - might get it before Thanksgiving! - though I doubt it

It might've been mailed out yesterday... :\
I checked yesterday though at 6pm, it still said "manufacturing" so maybe it was actually mailed today. I'm pretty sure it won't come in until after thanksgiving, jayinsat is right. :cryin

It's great to hear that two more responsible citizens will join the ranks of CHL holders. My status is still under review, should I worry?

average time in bkg review is 3 full weeks. 6 weeks is not unheard of. You can send an email inquiry but they won't answer until end of next week, at which time your status will have probably changed. Don't expect any more movement this week. :banghead:

Thank you all for the information that you have provided me. I honestly would be so lost without this forum and your invaluable help. I continue to anxiously await an update on my status.
