My status was updated online today and it all looks good except for one thing. It says "Proof of special condition unacceptable. Notice sent to applicant." The only special condition I can think of is my status as a veteran, and I sent a copy of my DD214 with my packet. Anyone else experienced something similar?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Unacceptable!
When you filled-out your application. did you check any of the boxes that required an explanation? Such as mental health, ever been arrested, etc.? If you had to send additional (proof) paperwork in, it would have gone to a special committee to be approved or disapproved.
As far as your DD 214, did you send in member copy #4. That is the one that they want. It shows what kind of discharge you received. Hope this helps and good luck.

Re: Unacceptable!
Thanks for the response v-rog. I've never been arrested and I'm no crazier than anyone else I know, so I didn't check any of those boxes. The copy I have of my DD214 says Member-1 at the lower right corner and does not, indeed, specify what type of discharge I received. I guess that's the problem. I can apply for a duplicate copy but that could take between several month and forever to get and I don't want to wait that long. Maybe they will offer me the option of paying the non-veteran fee and continue processing my license.

Go to http://www.NARA.gov" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and request it right away. I was surprised by how quickly I got mine (discharged in 1977). Took them 10 days.jerrybob wrote:Thanks for the response v-rog. I've never been arrested and I'm no crazier than anyone else I know, so I didn't check any of those boxes. Re: Unacceptable!
I was told they want copies of both sides. Not sure if that's required but I thought better safe than sorry.

My member copy was also one sided.
