New Guy In Waiting Room

#1

Post by The_Shootist »

Well, I've had my CHL since 1998 - I'm on my second renewal. Took the renewal class Dec 16, mailed the paperwork in Dec 18 and here I am.

Unfortunately the CHL expires tommorrow Feb 12 (the DPS website states my application is being processed) so I guess I'm going to be stuck with the weird feeling of being unarmed for another 30 days or so.

Hate it that you will have a gap. 6 months is not long if you stump your toe just a little bit.

Logged onto the DPS CHL homepage and it gave me the cheerfull message "Application Complete - License Issued".

Well it didn't come in the mail yesterday - so I guess its just a matter of time now!

As an aside, I think I may have stumbled a bit over the period for the renewal. I mailed in the completed packet Dec 18/06, and come to think of it, there are FOUR holidays (ie X-Max, New Years, MLK Day, President's Day) thaqt may have held things up.

Well guess I'm one more in the waiting room. Just sent my packet in today and trying to figure out what and where to carry. Can't wait to do the Wally Walk.
