Well, I finally got to mail the package today with all my documents done. Now comes the waiting game. It is unfortunate that I am impatient though. Thankfully there is this forum that will help pass the time with good knowledge and good people. Can't wait.

Submitted online application and payment - Jan 5th 2012.
Took CHL coarse - Jan 7th 2012.
Fingerprints completed - Jan 10th 2012.
Mailed Documents Certified - Jan 10th 2012.
USPS showed received at DPS - Jan 12th 2012.
DPS Website updated to received and Background Check Pending - Jan 20th 2012.
DPS Website Updated Background check completed, manufacturing pending - Jan 31st 2012. :hurry:
DPS Website Updated to Manufacturing - Feb 1st 2012. :anamatedbanana
DPS Website Updated to Mailed - Feb 7th 2012. :hurry:
Received - Feb 10th 2012.

The process has gone a lot quicker than I thought it would considering we're dealing with a relatively large bureaucracy. Assuming your record is clear, I think you'll be surprised by how quickly it moves along.

Mine went by pretty quickly. DPS updated their site this morning/last night to indicate it had been mailed. So, all in all, it was in the mail about 30 days after I sent it to them (that includes a couple of State/Federal holidays).

DPS Website finally updated today to package received and waiting back ground review. I was beginning to worry that my package had gotten lost somewhere. One step closer.....
