It appears to be a crap shoot with no rhyme or reason for the processing times. Some get processed very quickly while others just sit. As you will see on other threads there is an issue with fingerprints getting delayed too.

Here's hoping your application lands on the right desk. :cheers2:

Ditto. I'm working on my second month, while a person in my class had about a two week turn around. Mailed 2 days apart.
Needless to say, I won't be visiting Vegas any time soon. I'd end up broke.

Good luck to you though! :hurry:

After BG is done you will see manufacturing if all else is complete. MY BG took 2 days while manufacturing took a week. Others have seen manufacturing take 2 days while BG took longer. If your fingerprints are green, you're golden! You should be finished up pretty soon. (Just hope I didn't jinx you  )

There is really no telling which part of the process could get hung up and take a while, although some people luck out and no part of the process takes that long. My BG check took a pretty long time, and then I had to fax in a cert. disposition, but once they started working on my application again it went quickly from manufacturing pending, to manufacturing, to mailed. The whole review process still took well under 60 days, and that's with them sending me a letter saying to fax in a cert. disposition, which added another week.

I'm expecting my plastic sometime this week...hopefully today!

Mine was hand-delivered on the 15th, and still no update. I see you got an update early this morning, so hopefully I'm right behind you.

Submitted mine in June via certified mail and received the plastic in July, after approximately 3.5 weeks total time. The hardest part of the wait was the 6 days after the site indicated the plastic had been mailed. (Incidentally, the post mark was the day before the plastic arrived.)

I am willing to bet that they hold them until they get a certain amount and the batch ship them.

I got miiiiiine!!!!!!!!!!

Received by DPS on the 12th, marked as "mailed" on the 19th, and in my hands on the 24th! And I even ran into the Fingerprints Not Received problem too. I don't want to appear to gloat too much since there are people here that got trapped in the bureaucracy with no rhyme or reason, but Wow! two weeks from being mailed, and about a week and a half from the time they received it. That's pretty amazing.

Not sure what the advantage would be for them to do that? I am sure a bunch of mail leaves that building everyday, so completed licenses should be in that days mail. Not that I know that for sure, of course.
