Howdy from Clear Lake!! Sent packet October 11 and delivered (via certified/return receipt) on October 16. MY WAIT HAS JUST BEGUN!! Will I get it in time for Christmas Robberies?? Probably not!

Anyways, you guys talk about a website and a PIN. What website do I go to (from what i'm gathering - in about a month) and were does the PIN come into play? Is it mailed to you, e-mailed or given on the website securely?

http://www.texasonline.state.tx.us/NASA ... ctTask.jsp click on "Track the status of your License Application."

However, don't get too excited. It's always out of date, so I don't even bother checking other than to see it says "processing." This means it's in the system.

Thanks for the quick reply. Very helpful. I have put in "My Favorites" to keep for a later date. It is WAY too early to get updated now not to mention I have not received my PIN yet.

Yeah, I got my license over a week ago, and it STILL says processing application. My best advice, read through the threads here on this forum. There is ALOT of great information here. Plan on waiting around 60 days if there are no hiccups with your application.

And yes... you will get your pin in the mail as soon as they start processing your app. I sent mine in Aug 10th or 11th and received my CHL on 10/07/06. And... that texasonline site STILL says "Processing Application"!!

Go figure?

I would like to but I cannot find a good holster (concealed) for my CZ 40P. Also looking at Springfield XD 9 as my concealed. It is way more compact and I was told it is a great shooter. Not a big fan of Glock. No safety is BAD!! Any Help out there?

My son shoots the XD40. I have shot it & like it too. Many carry one. Good choice as long as YOU like it. Try to find one that you can shoot & if possible wear for a while.

Carry 24-7 or guess right.

I have an XD9, I don't carry it yet due to not having my license yet. It's a quality built great shooting gun. If you ever get out to the texas city range you are more than welcome to try it out.

welcome czfan.
Check out http://www.shado.com for a holster. they have good prices and hard to find stuff.
