Got notification from USPS that certified packet was delivered.
I feel like the "official" waiting has begun... :cheers2:

You should receive a PIN # by mail soon.
Then you can check you status on the DPS website.

looks like USPS tried to deliver twice yesterday but managed to get it done today. One more step out of the way.

You can check the status on the DPS Website, but basically, if all is right, it will be about 30 days (or so)

Hi KinArlington, welcome to the forum! :tiphat: There's a wealth of information here at your fingertips and a great bunch of guys & gals to get to know.

Teamless is correct. You can wait, and bite your fingernails while waiting, OR you can check your online status and bite your fingernails while waiting.

There's an awful lot of good stuff to read here while you're waiting though. :thumbs2:

First off, I would like to say hello to everyone out there. This is my first post here. My application has not been filed yet as I am trying to give them no reason to delay my app. by getting every bit of info on my past arrests. Wow, I did not know it would be this time consuming, but I am sure it will be worth it in the end. Anyway, I took my class on 4/10 and hope to deliver the app in person next week. I will update again when I finally do get the app to the DPS. I hope to beat the census background checks, but it is not looking too promising. :???:

Hi jumpdog789, welcome to the forum! Glad to have you with us!

I think that is a wise move on your part of gathering allllllllll the info on past arrests together before you send in the packet. I did exactly the same thing last summer. Took my test July 18, and didn't send in all my paperwork until Aug. 3, because of waiting on 2 "dispositions". It went through without a hitch. I have a feeling yours will too. :tiphat:

Pin received, the waiting continues. The good thing about waiting is I've doubled the amount of shooting I normally do trying to kill time. :smilelol5:

Thanks guys! I appreciate the response...
Just checked the DPS website this morning - 10 calendar days and now "Processing Application". :anamatedbanana

I hope this is early enough to miss the April 28 FBI delay deadline....

DPS received my packet on April 5 and I'm still waiting on my PIN. Thinking it would be faster, I sent them a money order so I wouldn't have to wait for them to cash a check.

My girlfriend sent her packet in a week before me, and she received her PIN in a week and she received her licence last week.

Good to see that others who sent in the same time as me are also taking a while.
