My paperwork was also received by DPS on 03 August. Should be interesting to see how long it takes for approval. I held a CCL from 2002-2006 it expired while I was serving at the Embassy in Paraguay 2006-2008. Last time I submitted my paperwork in October and received my license in March. My timing is always perfect; right after 9/11 there seemed to be a bit of a surge in applications. Now I'm dealing with the effects of the Obama regime taking over in D.C.

Bit of a false alarm for me today...see, i had to renew my DL last month also. Funny how a letter from DPS can get your heart rate up, especially when there is definitely a piece of plastic in there. :smilelol5:

LOL, I'm in the exact same boat. I was told to expect my new DL 6-8 weeks after 8/14. I was thinking if my CHL app flies through I could very well be getting them within a few days of each other.
