I wonder what hours some folks are getting approved?
Wonder if its worth not checking say after 6:00 pm

I've wondered exactly the same thing. I check after 6pm just because. You'd think that people don't process after 5pm. Gosh, you don't think they could run an entire 2nd shift do you? Hmmmm.....possible, but not probable I'd think.

I know they were dishing them out left and right over the past WEEKEND at ALL HOURS so I know they were working overtime then. Still wondering if they will still process them after hours or weekends. Someone did have a good theory on another thread about them trying to get them out before their fiscal year, Aug 31st but who knows.

I just check all kinds of hours on all different days because I have no life whatsoever.....
The only thing that I do know is that having a sense of humor is right up there with having patience. I try to have lots of both. Sometimes it even works out....
I believe that was yours truly. Indeed....who knows? I wish I knew the flow of apps. through the CHL division, and a flowchart of them. That would help applicants understand the approval process. But I guess that's asking to much.

I have been on back order since June for some, found some Gold Dots and should be getting them next week.
Gold Dots will have to last until I can get my hands on some HST. I was afraid I was going to get my plastic before I can find any JHP

Well I am so excited, that I think I will just bypass the walk at Walmart and go straight to Target! So if I am an example of the July 2009 class, then this is good news for my "classmates." Btw, I sent a thank you note to DPS at chl@txdps.state.tx.us since it sounds like they have taken some real heat in the last 12-18 months.

Congratulation Viffer. Just remember to wait until you have plastic in hand before doing your Wally/Target Walk.

You got that right! I've wanted to do this for years and the last thing I want to do is act "stupid", play LEO, or any of the other 'dumb or dumber" antics you read about. And thanks for the support.
