How often do you check your status?

Just a quick poll.

How often do you go online and check the status of your application? Occassionally, Daily, couple of times a day, or every other hour?

I check about twice a day, mid-morning and late afternoon.

I think that when I was waiting it was at least three times a day. It didn't make time go any faster. It still took 59 days. I guess that's a lot better than the wait time now.

I've been checking roughly twice a day on most weekdays. Morning and usually late afternoon or evening. I might check once or twice over the weekend since I've read of other peoples status changing on the weekend. Of course, now that I read this thread I just had to check again.

i think there should be a status bar showing the progress....your application is 76% complete

When I was waiting, I was checking at least twice a day. Funny thing, one day I wasn't near a PC and I get a phone call from DPS stating that my application had been approved. When I got home and checked, sure enough it said the magic words: "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active." I guess sometimes a watched pot never boils.

Wow you guy are really OCD I so far have only checked 2-3 times in the last 5-6 weeks. I just don't see the point to torture myself I know it will take at least 60-90+ days to complete so when I hit the 60 day mark I will start checking more often or maybe I should just forget about it and let it be a surprise(ya right).

i think one reason i check regularly , is really to see if i get the dreaded "application incomplete " message...
that way i get a heads up instead of finding out by snailmail.

I did one or two quick checks before 100+ days. After 120 days I started checking once a week. Now at day 137+ I check a few times a week... (Harris County)

On the plus side, the wait has allowed me time to get more carry options and accessories, but that is really a poor way of trying to look on the bright side of what should come within 60 days. And I could have done that anyway without the wait...
