I'd say next 3 days most likely. :cheers2:

Okay,
I bet I'll beat your record... I am currently at 274 days.. I check the status daily, and as of this morning it still says "Processing Application". I live in Harris County and I have heard that this may be a big part of the problem as to why it is taking so long...

I also had my application come back once for a missing date on one of the addresses, and most recently it came back a 2nd time where they requested a Criminal History report from the last state I lived in... I forwarded the report on to them as soon as I received it, and now I am in the waiting line again.

At this point, I will be pleased if I see my plastic before April of this year (the one year mark).

I am thinking about starting to write some letters at this point just to insure that I actually have plastic in my hand BEFORE the 1 year mark passes.

Anybody know who my state representatives are for Houston, TX? Or can you recommend anyone else that I should be sending a letter to?

I thought that Utah took a long time. In comparison to you, it didn't hold a candle. Why don't you go for your Utah CCW which is recognized in Texas? You may get it before your Texas CHL.

+1 day=275

If I were going to get a CWP from another state, it would have been from my home state of Florida, and yes, I would have had it LONG ago...

Since I am a resident of Texas, I wanted to do things the right way..

I'll keep this updated daily.

I've started calling the DPS hot line and leaving messages everyday. They keep putting me through to a voice mail for a Marianne, but I never hear back from anyone. I think they probably just delete the messages without review.

If you have any suggestions-I would sincerely appreciate hearing them. I'll be on a letter writing campaign later this week if nothing changes in the next day or so.

Though I have been lax on my part for not getting after them up to this point, is it really my responsibility to ride them? When I call-NO ONE will give me the status of my application, they all just transfer me to the "girl that is handling my file"-which is the recording I mentioned above. :???:

Insanity is repeating the same behavior and expecting a different result. I'd have switched tactics a few months ago. LOL Like going the state rep route, or demanding a supervisor after she hadn't returned more than 2 phone calls might have been better than continuing to call for her.
