Just mailed the paperwork

Hey guys,

This is my first post. I just mailed off the paperwork on Jan 22. My first question is what is the easiest way to check the status of your application? Is there a way you can do it online at the TDPS website? Or do I need to just call it in?

In about 30 days you will get a PIN number with instructions on how to check the status of you app on the website.

Congrats on your decision. And welcome to the forum.

I tell everyone this but they don't listen. You will get a pin number in about 30 days. Do youself a favor, Throw it away. Checking will drive you crazy. Some on here were checking 4-5 times a day.

Usually by time the status changes, you will already have plastic in hand

If you applied online you should have been given your pin with your paperwork that they mailed you. I mailed mine on 1/22 and DPS received it on 1/24. I have my pin and it still says "packet mailed to applicant" on the website. The other post was correct about checking online, it is addictive. I found myself driving down the highway and checking my status on my iphone while zooming down 59.
