I Am Ready

Ok. Before I got in my position that and my Hubby would mention taking a CHL class, I wasn't to thrilled about carrying a gun. After my incident that scared me, I still wasn't that sure about it but I knew it was something I needed to do.

We took the class, and I still didn't feel comfy because of the possible civil/criminal charges that might arise if I ever did have to defend myself or children. Since we have took the class we have read and discussed what we have read and learned. It has helped tremendously.

Sometimes when Craig is out of town and calls we talk for hours about what we have learned. Neither of us have ever been one to go into anything of importance, half cocked

We both followed yalls instructions to carry when at home or out at our land just to get used to it. I feel I am very comfy carrying and with the extensive practicing of shooting and carrying. I am ready.

This makes the wait even harder. I can not believe at this time of year, when time is usually flying by account of Christmas and Thanksgiving bearing down on us, this isnt the case.

Time is crawling. We haven't even received our pin numbers yet. Craig said it is usually about 3 weeks till we get it in the mail and can look online to see if everything is at least still moving, albeit slowly.

Thanks for letting me vent. Craig is taking the wait a little better than I am. I was hoping to be able to carry before my holiday shopping, but I see now that that is not going to be a possibility.

Just hang in there. Looks like it's been almost three weeks since your application was received in Austin - sooo PIN should arrive very soon. It's fun to log-in and check status but the excitement only lasts about three days. Seems like status changes are few and very far between. Don't forget to check on weekends. My status changed on a Saturday (didn't know they worked on weekends).
