I find it strange that some people get theirs withing 30 days or so and others have to wait so much longer. I just hope I get my Texas LTC before my Non Resident Florida permit expires at the end of August.
Day 67. :rules: .. Finally called and was told it was in the "background process". I guess that is progress. :banghead:

When I called a few weeks ago they said I was "in processing" wonder if that's processing my application, or my license.

I got very similar as well. Is this something new, or is this a sign we're almost finished?

I don't know if this is helpful advice but when I submitted my supporting documents electronically, I scanned all of them, including: The Checklist with the Bar Code they send you after application (I heard this helps them pull your application easier), CHL 100, DD 214, and the receipt from Identogo (Fingerprints). My status is Print Pending with all other areas GREEN. I'm assuming I'll receive it a few days. If I do, total time after "all in" will be under three weeks.

Haha this would be one of the first times any state actually listened to their residents... But yes, I'm pretty sure this is a new version of their system. A good update that allows us to actually note progress made(or lack thereof for some). Guess they don't like people calling in and found a way to lower the calls.

Hey folks, new here but I've been reading the forums for a while now, just never contributing. Just thought I'd toss my experience in so far.

I applied through Texas.gov Less than two weeks ago...and here is my timeline so far:

6/15/16 - Application Submitted & Paid for @ Texas.Gov
6/16/16 - IdentoGo Fingerprinting Completed
6/18/16 - LTC Class in Garland
6/19/16 - Submitted CHL-100 to RSD via E-mail
6/20/16 - RSD Confirmation that Document was Received
**And here I checked it on Monday/Tuesday and then got busy and forgot about it**
6/26/16 - Checked Texas.Gov and it shows Everything complete and Print Pending.
6/29/16 - Status Change to Mailed and have options to change address.
7/1/16 - Plastic in hand

So ten days since I did the initial application and payment, and now all I'm waiting for is print. Background is done.
**UPDATE** 14 Days from application to mailing. Will be stalking the mailman today.
17 days from application to plastic in hand.

Well the DPS finally did something good and made it so that we residents and tax payers could see the process of our LTC's.
My only complaint is that I am now on day: 167 from submitting my application and day: 134 since "all-in" and i'm still on the "Fingerprints-under review" stage. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

It's about danged time! Real status has only been gone for what 2 years now?

When all the steps turn green, it should say, "Mailed"" at the bottom. THAT'S when it's time to start stalking the mailman.
