Crazy long time line and still waiting, and waiting, and...
I just called this morning for the first time, they told me they had all my documents and it shouldn't be much longer, but please give it more time.
Application - 8\15\2015
Prints - 8\20\2015
CHL Class competed - 01\02\2016
Documents Received email - 01\04\2016
Today is the 70 day mark and the wait continues. Great site by the way, very informative and lots of great info.

Interesting timeline. Best of luck to you.
I'm at 84 days today without a peep of info.

Thanks, they really should give more details on where there at in the process. It would tremendously cut down on the amount of phone calls they get requesting an update.

Remember, only working days count. Since 01\04\2016 it has only been 46 working days (http://www.timeanddate.com/date/workdays.html)TexasVetEOD wrote:I just called this morning for the first time, they told me they had all my documents and it shouldn't be much longer, but please give it more time.

Prove it. Show us the legal text that specifies "working days" as what they count.C-Whit wrote:

The general consensus around here is that "working day" nonsense is just the bull they say on the phone to buy them time.

60 "Working Days" is hog wash, that is not stated in the law. If I don't have it by the end of March, someone is getting called and it won't be the "you need to wait longer" hotline.

This afternoon I emailed Greg Abbott's office as well as my local representatives. I'm hopeful that I'll hear something back, and maybe they can rattle a chain or two over at DPS/RSD. I'm at 84 days, and as a friend of mine says, "that's way past B. S."TexasVetEOD wrote:60 "Working Days" is hog wash, that is not stated in the law. Good luck, hopefully you will get some movement. I understand having a backlog from the holidays but, that is still no excuse to not be in compliance with the law. This afternoon I emailed Greg Abbott's office as well as my local representatives. Count how you like. You'll be happier using 60 business days from the time all correct paperwork prints etc are received

Re: Crazy long time line and still waiting, and waiting, and...
Day 67, nothing on website.
Called for the first time Friday and they said it was in processing, I told them it was over 60 days and they repeated what they tell everybody, so I called my State rep Friday afternoon told them I was at 64 days since they received all docs with email confirmation, they took my information and said they would get some info and email or call back, but haven't heard from State reps office today.
Like everybody else I understand they are busy, but they need to communicate with applicants. If they did there would be less frustration, DPS/RSD have had years to perfect this system even though there has been a huge increase of applications, but they should of expected that being this is Texas!
My friend got his license back in August 2015 and from the time he emailed all document it took 21 days till plastic.

I'm eager to hear if this helps, and what kind of response you get.sweatmachine wrote:This afternoon I emailed Greg Abbott's office as well as my local representatives. When you say local reps, who in particular did you reach out to?

If this works for you, I'll have to give it a shot. I still have a few days to catch up to you.

I got my email confirmation on 1/4/16 as well. It's incredibly frustrating that we can't find out anything. I've been trying to call since Friday and I just cannot get through.
