I received this prior to having my prints submitted:

Will I receive another e-mail stating all my information has been received? Thank you.

No. That email was in response to you submitting your CHL-100. You won't get an email confirming receipt of your fingerprints. I've seen some people have been able to call them and confirm receipt of documents but I personally wouldn't contact them before the 30 day mark. Don't even think about emailing them. They won't respond. I know the wait is brutal but worrying about it everyday only made it worse for me. I hope your wait is short. :cheers2:

Do you get that "Supporting Documents" email if you snail mail in the CHL-100? Or is that just for electronic submissions?

My timeline:

CHL Application -- 11/02/15
Fingerprints -- 11/04/15
CHL-100 Mailed -- 11/04/15

Just got off the phone with DPS - wanted to confirmed they received all my information after reading some folks stating DPS didn't receive their CHL-100.

Anyways, they confirmed they have everything but said the application won't get processed for another 3 weeks as they are still working on applications from the end of October. (Hope that isn't true... time will tell.)

I'm pretty sure applications significantly went up from September to now, as things seem to be slowing down

I am somewhat surprised DPS doesn't have a fee to expedite your application to the front - they would make boat loads.

No joke. I would have easily paid an extra $100 to have been moved to the front. Wonder why they don't offer something like that. Literally free money for them.

They could not do that because they would have to dedicate resources to a quicker turnaround time on those who pay for an expedited application. As soon as you hit a point where so many people are paying that fee you are right back where you are now -- and those who didn't pay to expedite would be waiting an eternity.

As all of us can already attest (proof being that we are all on this site ;-) ) -- it already seems to take an eternity!

I thought about that, but it wouldn't be an issue if they handled it properly. If they set it at $100 extra, do you really think most people would pay almost double the fee to get it in one week instead of four? Even if they were overwhelmed with people paying the fee, it's so ridiculously high that they could probably afford to hire a few extra people.

Blah blah, I know, government bureaucracy and all that. I know it's unlikely, but it's definitely possible. All I'm saying is that they could make a little extra money from this.

What type of envelope will the card come in? Is it a noticeable from the DPS or it is semi-plain like a new credit card?
