my wait continues

#1

Post by brian1973 »

Hello all, I am a new guy, been watching the forum for a few weeks to see what kind f waiting times people have been experiencing. I submitted my paperwork on 8/31 received my confirmation email on 9/1, and nothing yet. I called a week ago because my status wasn't updating and was told they no longer update statuses online but wouldn't give me any info, so I called today now there is a recording saying that due to increased applications they will be unable to provide any information if you have been waiting less than 30 days. Of course I over think things and am wondering what the heck could be taking so long but considering I have a clean record and had security clearance before I retired from the military, my TWIC card took less time than this I know I have nothing to worry about so I guess it is just my luck..lol. Oh well it is what it is but I am not very good at having patience though.

Just forget about it and go about your daily life and before you know it, there it will be in your mail box.

I know, easier said than done, right?

I bet you will be seeing it soon.

Anyways, welcome to the forum! :tiphat:

We are on the same time line. I submitted my chl-100 on 8/31 and received my email confirmation on 9/1. I called (512)424-7293 on monday 9/21 and they said they hadn't recieved my chl-100. The guy on the phone couldn't tell me if I should re-submit the paper work or not and said it just probably hadn't been enough time. Well I'm inpatient so I called again today 8/23 and the woman I spoke with said my license is set to be issued today. So if we're in the same boat we should hopefully see them in the mail this week. :txflag:

I got my document confirmation Sept 1st. I called in yesterday morning and was told that my license was being issued (yesterday). My online status still hasn't changed either, but the plastic should be on it's way now. I'll report back when it finally arrives. We shall see... :waiting:

P.S. This is my second Texas CHL. I was a dufus and forgot to renew it. The first time I got my CHL it took something like two months to get it after everything was submitted. So a three to four week wait isn't bad.

If it makes you feel any better, on my last renewal I had the license in hand before the status updated online.
