How much longer do you reckon?

Hello guys, I submitted my application online almost about a month ago. I've been reading in this forum and see some of you get your license within 3 weeks which is crazy fast all things considered. Heres my timeline:

7/29: completed and submitted application
7/30: fingerprints and CHL class done; submitted supporting documents, received confirmation email

My application status has not changed, it just says "allow time for processing." Seeing all you guys' shorter wait times is making me anxious because I want to carry this G19 already!

So, how much longer do you guys think it will take? I called DPS today but the wait time was 20 minutes so I left a callback number. Hopefully they can tell me a bit more about the wait. In the meantime I've been carrying around the house and getting used to it but I want to be able to take it outside already. Any input is appreciated, thanks!

Hello! Welcome to the forum! Yes, depending if everything goes smoothly, and on your background, the wait time is averaging about 3-4 weeks for plastic in hand. However for myself it took longer. You did right by calling DPS. After everyone else, that submitted around the same time as me, was getting plastic in 3 weeks I decided to call on the 4th week. When I got someone on the line, they pulled up my file and asked me if I had sent in my supporting documents. I told them that I had done that the following day after my application was submitted and they had to contact their internet department to check. Turns out, they did have my files just for whatever reason didn't see them or pull them from an email. She said she was sending up for processing and wouldn't you know 3 weeks later I had plastic in the mail. Just my luck that I would be the one to get overlooked in the system. Anyway, just call, speak to a person, and ask for a status. They are pretty nice and helpful and can let you know what's going on.

I suppose I will call them again and this time wait on the line. Hope I didnt get over looked also! Lol.
