More accurately, a single democrat from a famously antigun state has sponsored a bill, which is in committee, in a House with a significant republican majority. I'm pretty sure that the republican party, for all of its fecklessness, understands that banning online ammunition sales would go a long way toward guaranteeing their irrelevancy in all future elections.
