What y'all are asking for is exactly what got us into the situation that we are in. If a future President and Congress pass a law saying that civilians cannot own semi-automatic weapons or any caliber larger than .32, it will sail right past the Supreme Court.

It is the duty of the President and every member of Congress to uphold the Constitution. They take an oath to that effect. No law infringing the right to keep and bear arms should ever have been brought to the floor in Congress, let alone be passed, signed by the President, and upheld by the Supreme Court. All three branches of government have failed in this respect.

His "comparison" page is so blatantly false that it would be actionable if this were not a political race. If it were against someone less peaceful than Ron Paul, it would certainly merit a good sock in the nose.

This "outstanding" candidate claims to have raised $174,000, all of it from "local addresses". Turns out that over $150,000 of that came from one "local address", that being the address of William Chris Peden. The other listed donors are also named "Peden", and all gave the statutory maximum. Outside of people named Peden, he's only raised $8,000.

I don't consider it to be a "good Christian" trait to be dishonest about either your opponent or the source of your funding.

His people's land is seven thousand miles east of here so I don't see how that helps with the elections in this country.

I strongly disagree. The Constitution IS the rule book for this country. All other rules must be within the rules specified there.

Thank you.

I intended to go back to that statement, but got sidetracked.

The Declaration of Independence is the foundation. The Constitution is the rule book. Charter/Bylaws, for those of you who have dealt with clubs or organizations.

The idea that a patriotic American (and I have no reason to suspect lawrnk is anything but) could believe that the Constitution is not the rule book for how our country is to be governed... well, I'm just greatly saddened. And, frankly, dumbfounded at how to reply.

And I think the Declaration of Independence and The Constitution should have much more time spent on them in the classroom, grades 1 through 12

The quoted text does not deal primarily with land. It deals with His people, who are not limited by any sort of geographical constraints, so the location of that land is irrelevant.

We, who believe are His, also. He came to the Jew, first, that the Jew might be saved. They received him not, then, He offered salvation to the Gentile, that the Jew might be saved. We are his people, too, with a mission to love, pray for, and save the Jew, who are His chosen nation, His inheritance. We are commanded to bless the Jew and pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Well...I still don't see anyone left (as of today) that is worth a flip...Nothing personal...

I'm going to do mah thang in the primary...Vote early and make myself feel better...Then make sure that I go down the ENTIRE ballot and get the conservatives I know ready for November...Then do it all over again...

By that time we will have sent our messages to the big boys, and hunker down for a couple of years till we can do this again in 2010...

Remember the pendulum swings both ways, and maybe the timing now, will curb a lot of damage to this country if we can keep a few from screwing things up...We need to turn the tide this time...2006 was a wake up call, and I stated as such right after that...And if we didn't get our ducks in a row it was going to be worse in 2008...Well, it seems I was right...But there is stilla chance we can correct a few things...
