Is it possible to get a ltc if a back ground check for buying a gun is denied for a misdemeanor in texas? 63 now and misdemeanor charges at 17 years of age.

Re: Ltc license
Yes, if the misdemeanor isn't for domestic violence. The rejection was probably not for the old misdemeanor. Maybe a related name.

If the rejection was because of mistaken identity, or some other error on their end, you may be OK. However 411.172 limits LTC eligibility to people "fully qualified under applicable federal and state law to purchase a handgun". It might be a good idea to clear up that error first.
