I got a 30 page application email to me that no one can open. You download the attachment and it freezes when trying to open microsoft word. Ive tried to open it on by buddies computer and it does the same thing. I really need to be able to print this application ASAP to make it more legible and professional. I could forward the link to a computer wiz here and you convert it and send it back if you prefer, just PM me your email address.

Foxit Phantom is a PDF program that will do conversions and allow editing. There's a free 30 day trial.

I like it better than Adobe. http://www.foxitsoftware.com/PDF_Editor/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
PM sent

CutePDFwriter was recommended by PSC-Range in their recent newsletter about renewals.
If its good enough for PSC, its good enough for me -- and free!

I use the free versino on every computer I own. You just select it like a printer. http://www.cutepdf.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

PDFCreator is the best I have found, and includes many options e.g. to "save your PDF to a specific folder every time" is one that I need & use. Free & highly recommended.

Yes it just looks like another printer and as such is very simple to use.

Most newer versions of Microsoft Word will allow you to just 'Save As' a .pdf and convert it.

Problem I had is the program would freeze when trying to open it. Had no problem opening it on my phone though.

Tell Word to print, then click on "PDF", followed by "Save as PDF".

As others have said the newer office has PDF built in. But if i remember right it is pretty bare bones and is missing some features that others such as cutePDF has. So if i cant get it to work in office i then use cutePDF or Foxit instead.

I can't create a pdf from Word, but the nice thing about CutePDF it can be used to create a pdf in any software package, or when printing from a website. I even use it in Word because it so easy.
