For the last 3 or 4 weeks I have to re log in each time I visit the site. I alway check the box to remember me next time but for some reason I always have to log in. Any hints or suggestions will be appreciated.

Check that your browser is set to accept and keep cookies.

The same issue that kd5zex said can also be in a different place. It's something like "Clear personal information on close/exit."
In Firefox, it's in the preferences on the "Privacy" page, "Always clear my private data when I clsoe Firefox."
I'm not sure if the automatic phishing filter in IE might also disallow info storage.

If those setting are correct, you might go ahead and manually clear cookies/personal info, etc, and then log back in. I've had them get messed up in the past, and clearing everything fixed it.

This problem has resurfaced for me; right after I installed the new version of Firefox.

I've been a champion of Firefox since its inception and even way back before that, but I have to say I'm very disappointed in Firefox 3, and I have downgraded myself back down to Firefox 2 and all my problems went away. I hope they fix all the countless bugs that are present in that new release.

Are you using a mac or pc?

I use FF3 on Linux, and experienced the same issues. I performed a back up of my Firefox directory then I cleared out all my settings by rm -rf the firedox directory. I next started Firefox so it would recreate the directory without any trash in it. I finally copied my bookmarks from the backup to the recreated directory and all was well.

I'm also using Linux. FF2 has been working flawlessly, but I'll try clearing out my firefox directory next time I have some time to kill and am ready to try FF3 again.

Linux here as well, I use an umm.... older version of Slackware (10.2) and FF3 had some GNOME dependencies when I tried to install the last time, FF2 works good enough for now. Maybe someday I will update...

I do have a possible solution for you and your slackware without gnome issues, there's a project called dropline gnome that provides gnome for slackware, you can get more info on it at http://droplinegnome.org

Thanks for the recommendation, I know of dropline but have never installed it. I use GNUCash for my finances which doesn't run on KDE either. I think Slackware 12.1 has most of these dependency issues dealt with and other distros certainly do but after using Slackware for this long I am having a hard time switching to anything else.

I started out with Slackware back in late 1995 and used it for many many years. It's a great distro.
